WOODPOL PRIMER MELAMINISED

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
WOODPOL COLORWOOD PRIMER or any shade is an economic interior primer designed to give adhesion, protection and resistance to varying weather conditions such as swelling due to absorption of moisture on wooden surface. It also protects wood from termites and pest attacks.

It acts as a penetration primer and fill fine pores and open grains on a wooden surfaces and completely seals the wooden surface and reduce sinking of finish coat applied on wood. Also it gives toothing effect with excellent adhesion properties to the substrate and acts on a strong base for topcoat and hence serves as a good quality wood primer.

In many cases it is even used as a finishing coat where decoration of the surface is not of paramount importance like interiors of cabinet, shelf, wall units and cupboard This primer can also be tinted with WOODPOL MELAMINISED PIGMENTED FINISH to match the base coat shade with that of finish coat.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR NEW WOOD
Wood article to be coated must be dry and free of dust and loose particles. Sand surface along grains with emery paper # 180.
»  FILLER COAT
Apply one or two coats of woodpol wood filler using putty knife or muslin cloth depending upon surface smoothness. Remove excess of filler immediately. Allow it to dry for minimum of 2 - 3 hours. Sand with emery paper # 180 followed by # 320. Ensure complete removal of filler from the surface.
Use good quantity N.C. putty to fill up dent & surface imperfection. Sandwiching of filler/putty between two coats of primer is to be done before application of finish coat.

»  PRIMER COAT
Apply a coat of woodpol colorwood primer and allow it to dry for 3 - 4 hours. Light cut with emery paper # 320 and apply subsequent coat of finish coat.

FOR PER POLISHED WOOD
Sand the surface with emery paper # 180 follow up the step no (2) recommended for new wood also old polish or coating can be removed completely by using Woodpol Paint & Varnish Remover.
